How To Survive Middle School‼️📚

  • Middle school might look pretty terrifying, but honestly it's not. Being a newcomer, is intense, but after the 1st week you'll question why it was necessary to even worry! Here are some tips how to survive your 3 years of middle school!😀

  • 1// Don't mess with people. I thought that the 8th graders were the most intimidating part of middle school, but they're not. Honestly, it's probably best to watch out for the class ahead of you, the 7th graders. I say that because it would be helpful to have some friends in that grade, because you'll always be involved with them. Some crappy ones might think it's cool to hold it over your head that they will graduate before you, and that you're smaller than they are.

  • 2// Be organized! This is so important bc now you will have lockers & teachers will be on top of you about your work. If you don't have an assignment (including homework) turned in on time, they will put a big fat 0 in the grade book, and that won't look so good on your report card. Grades balance so weird in middle school, it's horrible. So make sure to keep your stuff organized & don't disappoint your teachers!

  • 3// Do not be late to class. I got in trouble so much bc of this. Keep in mind that in middle school, there is no longer just that "silent lunch" punishment, there's also detention. I went once, trust me, it's not fun!

  • 4// Be respectful to your teachers. I understand how you could feel if you want to be quiet as a mouse during class, but it really is important to speak and have input with everyone else. Along with respecting teachers, you need a voice to have the tendency to be able to joke around and know how personal to get with them, so that they really know you. If you do this, you will have a good relationship with that teacher. This helped me out a bunch in the long run, I was able to accomplish much more because I was involved!

  • 5// Try to find interest in sports, dances, or even clubs. You have to find a standing point in your social life. Think about trying out for your favorite sport, go to school dances or games, and join clubs that you could use to the best of your advantage. In 8th grade they gave us an opportunity to do chorus if we wanted, and I signed up & then dropped right out of it bc I chickened out. Don't be like me! I made a huge mistake! Bc for one thing I love to sing, but I also wasted a perfectly useful Highschool credit that could've helped me later in the years.

  • 6// Don't be nervous! Middle school is a change but it's not that bad! Everyone is shy at some point but soon you will come out of your shell once you realize that nobody is there to judge you 😊

  • Overall, middle school is great. It offers so many opportunities & experiences. So much more freedom. But, you shouldn't take advantage of that. Middle school is a milestone that prepares you for Highschool. Enjoy your 3 years, it goes by so fast. It feels more like 3 days, and then it's gone. Make the most out of this journey! I hope this helped! Wish me good luck in Highschool!💘
