How To Make Yummy Sticky Brownies

85g of butter, plus extra for greasing
140g of caster sugar
100g of soft brown sugar
125g of plain chocolate, broken into pieces
1 tbsp of golden syrup
1 tsp of chocolate/vanilla essence (either is fine)
100g plain flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder, plus extra for dusting
1/2 tsp baking powder
Preheat oven to 180 degrees/ gas mark 4. Lightly grease a 20 cm/8 inch square, shallow cake tin and line the base.
Place the butter, caster sugar, brown sugar, chocolate and golden syrup in a heavy- based saucepan and heat gently, stirring until the mixture is well blended and smooth. Remove from heat and leave to cool.
Beat together the eggs and chocolate essence. Whisk in the cooled chocolate mixture. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder, then fold it into the chocolate mixture. Mix well and then spread the mixture into the tin. Put into oven for 25 mins.
Leave to cool in the tin and sift on the cocoa powder. After, cut up, serve and enjoy!!!😃😃
