  • What will you need?!

    • Wax (Paraffin / soy wax / beeswax / other)
    • Wick candle (wick general / Woodwick)
    • Candle molds / jars
    • Scissors / cutter
    • Stove / heater
    • Thermometer (additional)
    • Essential oils / scented (additional)
    • Crayons (dye) (additional)
    • Metal bowl and pan

  • 1. Fill your pan half way with water, place a metal bowl in the pan. Put on the stove over a high heat. If the water is touching the metal bowl pour some out. After this, place the beeswax (or which ever ingredient you decide to use) in the metal bowl and melt till there are no clumps

  • 2. Once the wax is melted and there are no clumps you can add your essential oils. The essential oils gives the candle a gorgeous smell! If you want an Odourless candle you can skip this step!

  • 3. If you want the candle to have a colour then use crayons! Melt the crayons of your choice in the metal bowl. 
Don't forget, if you want a lighter colour e.g. Light blue, add the light blue crayons, If you want it lighter you can add the White crayons.

  • 4. Once the wax is melted, pour into your jars or moulds. Make sure you have placed your candle wick in the jar. Whilst pouring the melted wax into the jars, hold the wick to try and keep it in the middle of the mixture! Don't burn yourself!

  • Finally, wait until the wax is cold and completely hard. You could put them in the fridge over night! Once the wax is completely hard they are ready to use! 
You can decorate your jars to make them pretty!
