How To Make THE BEST Blanket Fort

posted in Family & Kids
  • You will not need a high quality tent as all you need is the poles but try to buy a tent with a similar surface area as your bed

  • You will also need the pole pins which are attached to the corners and you will need 4 pieces of material, the handles from a tote bag will work fine

  • Then you tie them together a simple knot will do, try and make the tails a similar length for all 4

  • Move the mattress out of the way, box spring beds have a wooden frame so you will have something to attach it to

  • A 20mm screw will do as its strong enough to hold the frame securely but won't damage the bed

  • Put the mattress back in the bed and then build the frame as if you were building a tent and tie a knot at the top to keep it in place (the knot must have a loop)

  • Now you can attach a battery powered LED lightbulb with will have 3/4 hours battery life so your fort is lit up

  • Now you just fill your fort with blankets, cushions, a laptop, snacks, books etc and you you can enjoy your fort :)
