How To Make Jello Shots. Advice From The *expert* How Do It Right.
Food & Drink
Jello shots are easier to make than you think! And they are great for parties and get togethers!
What you need is just a regular box of jello, and whatever flavor sounds good to you, also depends on the alcohol flavor you buy. Like raspberry jello = raspberry vodka.
I made jello shots many times, and i usually buy flavored smirnoff vodka. If you like a different flavored vodka, that works just fine.
You can also use plain vodka. If you can handle the intense taste ( i can, but my friends complained) i personally don't care, i don't complain about jello shots. But flavored may be better for a party. Its better then taking straight vodka anyway, whats to complain about?
Okay lets get to it.
Jello usually asks for a total of two cups of water. Follow the recipe.
When your done adding the boiling cup of water to the mix.
Then you add the other cup ( which is suppose to be water) but just replace it with a COLD cup of the alcohol you choose.
DONT FORGET TO STIR!!
Then pour in little cups. And place in fridge for a couple hours.
ADVICE FROM SOMEONE WHOS DONE IT!!
Always use boiling water, dont microwave. It doesnt work that way and it WONT WORK. I done that before and the jello did not harden.
One more thing.
When you serve the shots. Serve them with a tooth pick.
You do this because its hard to suck the shots out by yourself, and then leads to you eating out the cup.
Use the toothpick to go around the circumference of the jello shot.
That makes it ALOT easier to take the shot when the time comes.
Without the tooth pick it will be difficult.
If you like, you can add fruit to your jello shots. I personally lovvveeee fruit in my shots. Just make sure you put the fruit in before you pour the jello in the cups.
