How To Make A Matte Top Coat.

  • You can easily make a matte topcoat at home! Literally just takes a pinch of corn starch and a topcoat!

Entire Bottle: Add pinches of corn starch into a bottle of clear topcoat and mix until you achieve the desired matte-ness. Directly adding the corn starch into the bottle will obviously make the entire bottle a matte topcoat. No turning back. If you’re not ready for this kind of commitment, you can make a small batch…

  • Small Batch: To make a small batch of a matte topcoat, just follow this simple tutorial! Note: I did the mixing on a waxed Dixie paper plate. Adding too much corn starch will make the polish clumpy, so start with a little and build up. About 1-2 dips of corn starch for a dime sized puddle of topcoat. Once your done, wipe off the brush with remover before placing it back in your topcoat bottle.
