How To Improve Your Shooting And Form
So first you will need to have your form down. If your a right, your right hand should be behind the the ball, almost under it, and ur left should be on the side of the ball as a guide. If you r lefty ur left hand should be behind the ball and ur right hand goes on the side. (The hand that is on the side of the ball is only a guide so u don't shoot w// both hands following through)
Whatever hand is behind the ball is the wrist u flick. When u shoot u should have a nice peek when jumping, and when u release the ball the hand behind the ball should flick, and the last fingers the ball should roll off off is your: thumb, index finger, and middle finger.
Make sure ur the elbow of the hand that is actually shooting the ball(the hand behind the ball) is tucked in as shown in the picture before. Your elbow should be lined up with ur hip.
The most powerful part of your body when you shoot is your legs, ur legs give u power to shoot the ball far and high enough to reach the basket. When u shoot u should be in almost a squat position. Then u come up as u r ready to shoot and jump into a peak and once u jump into that peak u release the ball flicking ur shooting hand and using ur guide hand as well...a guide so the ball follow to the basket not to the side or anything. (Shown in the picture before)
