How To Get Your Splits!!

The key to getting your splits down is perseverance and determination!!
These stretches are to be done everyday or every other day depending on the time you have!!!
Before you attempt your splits you need to warm up!! You can do this by doing star jumps/jumping jacks, running, trampoline etc... Warm up for 3-5 minutes or just until your body feels warm!!
Now your warmed up you need to stretch your muscles!!!
First you need to get into a lunge but not any lunge a 'splits' lunge! Hold that on each leg for about 15seconds-1minute depending on your flexibility and as you get more flexible hold it for longer!!! Make sure to do your left leg and right :) If you don't know what the lunge looks like look on the next page ;)
Then you need to get into a straddle :) When you are in your straddle lean to the right and try to touch your nose to your knee (keeping your legs straight) Do this on both legs!! Also hold this for about 15seconds-1minute depending on your flexibility!! :)
Then go into a sitting pike and then try and reach your nose to your knees again!! Hold this for 15seconds with 4 reps or 30 seconds with 2 reps!!
Then you can try a 'mini splits'!! hold for 30 seconds!!!
When you have finished doing this try to go in a small controlled over split!! Hold for 15-20 seconds...!
Now try your splits and see if you've improved!!!
