How To Get Tan Without Burning
Skin & Body
Use tanning oil WITH SPF such as the one shown in the picture or banana boat, or use sunscreen. Beyond popular belief, sunscreen does not stop you from getting tan. That's sunblock. Do not use sunblock if you're trying to get tan. Sunscreen will keep you from burning & peeling and still give you that perfect tan you're looking for. Use a SPF that suits your skin type, and remember to reapply after time.
Start off slow. Your first few times you should tan for a short period of time. 30-60 minutes for starters. After you gradually start getting tanner you can stay out longer. The hours between 10am and 4pm are when the suns UV is at it's strongest, so minimize the time you tan between those hours as you are more likely to burn then. It may take a few tans before you start to really notice a difference, so be patient.
Drink lots of water after tanning to rehydrate your skin. Moisturizing with non perfumed lotion will also help, such as aloe Vera lotion, or one with vitamin E in it. Perfumed lotion may irritate your skin after a tan, so stay away from it as much as possible.
If you stick to these tips, you are minimizing your chance of burning and peeling while still getting tan. Happy Tanning!! 👍😁☀️
