How To Get Moisturised! For People Experiencing Dry Skin

  • All my life, I struggled with eczema. For people who don't know what eczema is, it is a medical condition which causes patches of skin to become rough and itchy, causing rashes and bumps on the skin. The most common places to get rough patches is the arms, the area where your arm joints meet, in the back of your knees, your legs, etc. You can get eczema anywhere.

  • Recently, I started getting eczema on my face? It was so stressful. I would have random dry spots on my face (thank god they didn't turn into a rash). I was freaking out and I didn't know what to do. I tried exfoliating my face, moisturising it, using scrubs, home remedies, you name it, I was desperate!!

So I had to go to the expert : my mother. I explained to her what was going on, since this has never happened before and she's really experienced and serious when it comes to the skin.

  • She made me realise it was eczema causing this stuff to happen to my skin. I thought it was makeup I was using or face wash I was using. I totally forgot I even had eczema because it hasn't been a problem for a while.

My mother introduced me to Grape Seed Oil. I thought that oil was only for food, but turns out Grape Seed oil has MAJOR health benefits for your face!

  • 1- Helps Treat Acne
    1- Helps Treat Acne
  • If you struggle with acne, you should try this. Grapeseed oil contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, both of which are great for stopping acne. The oil also contains linoleic acid, which is great for promoting skin health.

  • 2- Tightens skin
    2- Tightens skin
  • Grapeseed oil has astringent qualities (that help tighten skin) and close up the pores, thus helping you avoid clogging that leads to pimples. Oily skin can especially benefit from this.

  • 3- Relieves Dark Circles Under Eyes

  • Dark circles are a problem for many adults, and sometimes children have the issue as well. Most products that claim to help actually have harsh chemicals. Grapeseed oil, applied daily for a few weeks, can relieve the dark circles naturally.

  • 4- MOISTURISE!

  • This very light oil can be used by those with even sensitive skin, and works as an excellent moisturizer that won’t clog pores. The oil can also help hasten healing of problems, such as minor abrasions or pimples.

  • 5- Fight Aging

  • Fine lines and wrinkles can be alleviated with a daily dose of grapeseed oil on the skin. The elasticity of the skin can be improved, thus making the lines of an aging face less pronounced.

  • If you're worried about the price of the oil, don't worry! Grapeseed oil is inexpensive and affordable (depends where you get it).

My mom got hers online, so the cost of the Grapeseed oil/Brand effects how much the oil is.

  • Literally after just one use I saw a result in my skin! The dry patches around my eyes were gone, and the dry patches around my nose were gone as well! I was so skeptical at first because I tried everything and lost my trust in every product I used, if I hadn't tried Grapeseed oil I would still be struggling with dry skin.

  • As always though, results WILL vary. Some people's skin types vary from dry to oily, so the results from using the Grapeseed oil will differ. My skin is a mix, but because of the dry patches, I used the Grapeseed oil mainly to moisturise. If your skin is oily and you're using the product for a different reason, I would take precautions and use very minimal oil to prevent my skin from getting too oily.

  • Since I wanted results fast, I used other products to help with the process of regulating the texture of my skin. My mom recommended i continue the use of Cetaphil. I use the Cetaphil Facial Cleanser and the Cetaphil Lotion at least 3-5 times a week. Cetaphil is a good facial wash/lotion for anyone who is dealing with acne or dry skin.

I used this product with the grape seed oil, using the cleanser first, putting the Grapeseed oil on, then putting on the lotion, and I did this everyday so results show up quicker than only using the Grapeseed oil.
