  • Handstands are actually more about strength than balance! Think about it. You're holding your whole entire body up with just your arms! Dumbbells help tone me up, I just feel that push ups are a waste.

  • If you have the space, doing handstands against a wall helps you practice the form and helps you practice holding it! Make sure to point your toes (not because I'm a gymnast😂 it actually helps balance) and don't arch your back. It makes it harder to hold the handstand.

  • Start little. Do a waterpump (which is jugs putting one leg up and jumping like how a water pump would), and move your way up to the actual handstand.

  • With time, practice, and a LOT of strength, you can hold it longer and do advanced versions.

  • A great way to ease into the form is to get on a wall, stomach to the wall, and start tapping your feet on and off the wall lightly. If your a beginner, it helps you work on holding longer and longer.
