How To Do A Handstand!

Hey guys! I'm a gymnast, so a lot of people come to me with questions on how to do certainly skills! So the skill above is a handstand (DUH) so let's start.
Handstands are actually more about strength than balance! Think about it. You're holding your whole entire body up with just your arms! Dumbbells help tone me up, I just feel that push ups are a waste.
If you have the space, doing handstands against a wall helps you practice the form and helps you practice holding it! Make sure to point your toes (not because I'm a gymnast😂 it actually helps balance) and don't arch your back. It makes it harder to hold the handstand.
Start little. Do a waterpump (which is jugs putting one leg up and jumping like how a water pump would), and move your way up to the actual handstand.
With time, practice, and a LOT of strength, you can hold it longer and do advanced versions.
A great way to ease into the form is to get on a wall, stomach to the wall, and start tapping your feet on and off the wall lightly. If your a beginner, it helps you work on holding longer and longer.
