πŸ’”How To Cope With The Loss Of A PetπŸ’”

  • Yesterday, my mom found out that our family dog had cancer everywhere, along with fluid surrounding his organs. We spent one last day with him as a family to let him know that he was extremely loved and to give us a little peace through this trying time. She had to put him to sleep this morning. While difficult, it's good to know he's not hurting anymore and he's in a better place. I posted this because I was searching for ways to cope and I found this extremely helpful and hope that for someone else, it brings you some comfort as well. It's never easy to lose them.

  • Just remember that you have to take care of you too! I know that this article is actually written for cats and dogs but I think that this is helpful for any pet. If you check out the link in the info, there are some resource pages to help you if you need to find counseling or more information on euthanasia and that kind of thing. Again, I know it's never easy but, if you're going through it right now, it just might help make life a little easier. We are cremating our pup and my mom wants to get necklaces for us to keep him close always. There are lots of ways to honor them! πŸ’—

  • I post this in memory of Pepe, the greatest dog I've ever had the pleasure of having in my life. We were so blessed to have you in our family. We miss you already buddy and we hope you know how incredibly loved you were. Hope you're having so much fun running free and chasing those bunnies! πŸ’—
