How Old Is To Old?
Have you ever been told "no you can't date him/her"? Was the reasoning behind that because they were too "old" for you?
I decided to make a tip expressing my thoughts upon this subject of dating someone older. Hopefully it'll help you!
Sometimes we feel as if we are floating up in the sky because it's easier to be there then to be on the ground hurt.
Alright so first things first. My first question I ask of you is to be honest and open minded.
So if we take a look at our society today, it has changed a lot over the years. Back when the world was just starting we could date whoever we wanted. Some of is even wish to go back to those times.(Probably a nice flashback but it might be better to live during these times oddly enough!
Okay so I live in the United States so I'm going to use their rules/laws, whatever you want to call them.
Okay so in U.S.A there is a law that states 16-18 year olds are aloud to date, but must ask their parents for permission which includes permission to have any sort of physical contact with one another.
Now... Who in their right mind can control our feelings? I've yet to understand what that law really does for anyone but make everything complicated.
I believe that age is just a number, and maturity is a choice. Yes granted a 16 year old should not be dating someone who's like 30. Since they are still a minor.
My opinion on all this is we should be able to fall in love with whoever we want! I say if we are 16, we are old enough to make adult decisions since we are being taught that anyways.
Why is it not okay for us to love who we want? If you look at older couples, many have a big gap in their ages. How come it's okay for them but not us?
I conclude that we be aloud to love who we love. Even if that person is a bit older then us. Maybe we should have to wait until we're 18 to go be with them, but we should be aloud to see them. I just don't get how it's looked upon wrong if a 20 year old happens to like a 16 year old. Technically they would've been a senior in high school when the 16 year old was just starting freshmen year.
Numbers are really over looked now a days. It's frustrating.
I'll now give you what I believe is a age area we should be aloud to date.
13 up to 15
14 up to 16
15 up to 18
16 up to 21
17 up to 23
18 up to whoever since you're legal
Of course you may not agree with those numbers. But if just think those make a bit of sense.
Plus I live by the quote "Age is just a number; Maturity is a choice."
Hopefully what I've had to say somewhat helps you or even gives you more confidence to speak up! Why should we be restricted of our love?
Thank you for reading. Hopefully I didn't offend anyone and if I did my apologies. I just feel like we are told our "rights" but yet we don't actually have them. I understand that their are laws, but honestly can you stop love? No. So hopefully we all can stand tall and be proud of ourselves! If you have any questions or complaints just message me(:
"Love is love no matter the shape or size of it. You can love anyone and anything. Love is a powerful feeling and an emotion. Let us love to love, let us love to hurt, let us love to grow."
Love is for anyone who wants it. Who feels it. Who lives by it.
I know this feeling of being told 'you can't date him because he's too old for you' it sucks and I don't care anymore!
