32 ounces of heavy whipping cream
2 tbs of sour cream
I tsp vinegar
1 tsp salt (optional)
Blend heavy cream and sour cream on slow for about 25-30 min.
At first it will thicken then it will thin out and the liquid will start to separate; continue blending until butter turns a pale yellow color)
- drain excess liquid
(which is actually buttermilk)
- add vinegar (as a preservative) and blend for 1 minute at the end
-Place in glass container and refrigerate immediate
