Hip Restaurants To Check Out In Milwaukee

  • AP Kitchen- Located in the Walker's Point Neighborhood of Milwaukee, this American Contemporary hotspot is sure to please. With an ever changing menu of expertly curated small plates, there's something for everyone, from watermelon salad to Mediterranean Sea bass. Also available are extensive wine and beer lists, often from local vineyards and breweries.

  • Calatrava Cafe- Under the famous Milwaukee Art Museum lies the little known about Calatrava Cafe. The cafe is an upscale dining experience for patrons who want to immerse themselves further into the arts. The menu changes based upon the main gallery exhibit, drawing culinary inspiration from the home countries of the featured artist, but also includes standby favorites like their charcuterie plate.

  • Trocadero- Enjoy brunch on a sunny Spanish patio in the middle of Milwaukee. This gastropub offers omelets, crepes, salads, and sandwiches along with cocktails on Saturday and Sunday mornings. They also serve lunch and dinner weekly.

  • Sil's Doughnuts-It may not be fancy, it may not have a dining room, but it's one of Milwaukee's best kept secrets. Walk up to the drive through window of this small doughnut stand to enjoy hot and fresh mini doughnuts made at your request. Three flavors are available: powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, or combo. The doughnuts can be ordered in portions ranging from a half-dozen single serving to 80+ count boxes for offices and parties. Highly recommended, but be careful, they're addictive!
