  • Add henna to a heat safe bowl. Then in very small amounts at a time (i cannot stress small amounts enough) pour the coffee in the bowl and stir it up

  • Make a double boiler; boil a pan of water put heat safe bowl with henna and coffee over the pan until henna is fully melted.

  • It should be the consistency of brownie batter. You can always add more coffee if needed.

  • Section your hair, apply henna. I use a color brush for the roots but for the rest just smoosh it in there with your hands :p then wrap in cling wrap and wait about 3-5 hours depending on how red you want your hair.

  • Finally wash with shampoo and conditioner until all the chunks and gook is gone!


    I use caca marron from Lush. It comes in a block form but of course you can use whatever form of henna you wish. :)
