Henna For Hair!
Henna is probably the only dye that actually replenishes and nourishes your hair instead of damaging it. Completely plant based, the colour you end up with is almost completely dependent on your natural colour, which means that it looks very natural.
I've been doing henna for years, and I've found that you have to be pretty careful as to what dye you actually use. Make sure it's free of chemicals and make sure you bought the right colour, as there are so many to choose from. I tend to mix them, mahogany, auburn and ardent red are my favourite! Make sure it's PURE henna!
I usually buy it at my local Indian shop, where it's 2€. So the stuff is super cheap!
Mix the pack with warm water and apply onto hair. Be careful to wear gloves and not get dye on clothes or even skin (places like the for head and ears) as some Hennas can go red/orange almost instantly. I absolutely love the smell of henna at this stage!
Here you can leave the dye in the hair for any amount of time- I've done half and hour to 5 hours! It really depends on how strong you want it to be. At an hour it usually looks like red in the sun, but it's not too noticeable in darker areas. It really depends on what look you're going for!
Then just wash it out and enjoy your new nice-smelling luscious voluminous hair!
