Healthy And Shiny Hair!
One of the most important things is to prevent breakage. Ways to do this include:
1. Brush your hair before you shower to get rid of tangles that your fingers will run through while washing.
2. When your hair is wet, use a wide tooth comb to detangle. Brushing causes many split ends, and should be kept to a minimum even with dry hair.
3. Before swimming in a chlorinated pool, wet your hair and use a hair serum to protect it from the chemicals. Especially if you swim regularly; it's extremely damaging to your hair!!
4. USE HEAT PROTECTANT!!!
PLEASE ladies!! Heat can be very damaging to your hair! Also limit your use of heat.
( this is my favourite heat spray, but any will do!! )
Mane and Tail's shampoo had done absolute wonders for me! It's super moisturizing for my hair and makes it super shiny and soft!!
To find the right shampoo for your hair type and texture, you have to take into consideration what your hair needs.
For coarse/curly hair, a deeply moisturizing shampoo and conditioner is key. Also try to use hair masks or serums. Although if you have oily hair, use a basic cleansing shampoo to prevent buildup.
For thinner, straighter hair, use a gentle cleanser and conditioner. Be VERY careful with how much heat you use, as thin hair is more succeptable to damage. Although if you have a dry/sensitive scalp, use hair masks and check for sulphides and other chemicals that could do more damage
Wavy hair can fall into either of these categories.
This is my FAVOURITE hair serum. You can get it at most supermarkets, and it really helps heal and prevent breakage! Especially since I'm swimming 4-5 times a week.
It may seem weird, but pure aloe vera gel works wonders on frizzy, dull hair like mine. I just put a bit on my hair after a shower and let it air dry!
