Winters are approaching and with it also comes dry, patchy skin without any invitation. The cold weather tends to make skin dry and rough, taking away all the moisture. However, with these simple remedies you can keep your dry skin moisturized through out the winter season naturally.
  • Want to know how to prevent and treat dry hands and feet this winter? Try these below home remedies which are super easy and effective.

    Vaseline:

Applying Vaseline or a thick cream to nourish skin and get rid of flaky dry skin. What you can do is apply a good amount of Vaseline and massage daily for 5 minutes and then wear thin gloves/socks so that the moisture goes deeply. Vaseline will make the dry areas smooth and extremely soft to touch. You can repeat it daily or alternate days.

  • Honey and Aloe Vera gel:

To get rid of dry, flaky and cracked skin on feet and hands you can use a mixture of honey and aloe Vera gel. Extract fresh aloe Vera gel and mix it with equal amount of honey. Mix both the ingredients well and then massage your hands/feet using this mixture. Let it stay for 10 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. This mixture will make your skin nourished, hydrated and will also prevent cracked dry skin. Repeat it 2-3 times a week for best results.

  • Pumice Stone:

Dry skin can also occur because of the dead skin layers so make sure you get rid of the dead skin. Use pumice stone gently on the dry and thick areas like feet and hands during taking shower. It will remove the dead skin and will make your skin smooth and soft. Repeat it 2 times a week for effective results, don’t overdo.

  • Brown Sugar and Olive oil: Using homemade scrub will take away the entire dead skin layer and will make your hands/ feet smoother than ever. All you need is take 2 tbsp. of brown sugar and mix it with 2 tbsp. of olive oil in a bowl. Mix a mixture and then scrub your hands and feet using this scrub for 5-10 minutes gently. Say goodbye to dry flaky skin because after using this scrub you will only see smooth nourished skin. This scrub also detoxifies your skin naturally.

  • Soak:

Make your own hand and feet soak at home to get rid of dry skin. Take warm water in a bowl, add one tbsp.. of baking soda, 3-4 drops of peppermint oil and one tbsp. of olive oil. Mix it all and then soak your feet and hands into the mixture for 5-10 minutes. This will make your dry rough skin vanish immediately and your skin will be hydrated and nourished. Dry you skin and then end by applying nourishing lotion.

  • Overnight Remedy:

Apply a thick layer of lotion or vaseline along with few drops of olive oil. Massage it into the hands and feet for few mins. Cover them with thin gloves and cotton socks to soften the skin overnight. Next morning you will wake up with nourished, hydrated skin.
