Guinea Pig Essentials Part 1

  • The best way to take good care of your Guinea pigs is to give them the essentials they need. So here is part 1 of all the essentials you will need!😉

  • 1: Fleece. I recomend fleece instead of shavings or hay because it looks better, is cheaper, and is easier to clean.

  • 2: Beds. I recomend at least two comfy material beds for your Guinea pigs as they may want to escape the other Guinea pigs company for a while.

  • 3: Wooden hut and tunnel. Guinea pigs need a few things made from natural materials as well as the fleece/ comfy items. They also find tunnels great fun!

  • 4:Water bottles. If you have one Guinea pig then you only really need one water bottle. And if you have two or three then you will need two bottles.

  • 5: Toys. Your Guinea pigs will need toys because they will get bored. Types of toys they would like are tunnels, balls or even see saws.

  • 6: Chews. These are very important because Guinea pigs teeth do not have a root. This means that their front teeth need to be kept knawed down by chewing the previously mentioned wooden tunnels and huts. But I would also recomend chew toys.

  • 7: Hay rack. Guinea pigs need constant supply of hay as it is around 70% of their dietary requirements. I also recommend you buy a hay tray as it is a good place for the Guinea pigs to go to the toilet. Make sure there is always a constant supply of fresh hay for your pigs!

  • 8: Food bowls: It is obvious why you need food bowls for your pigs but make sure the bowls are heavy so your pigs dont tip the food everywhere!😁

  • There are some more essentials for Guinea pigs. Come to if you want a part 2!  Please like if you found this helpful!❤️
