It is very important to not only know what we can do to help ourselves relax and destress, but it's also important to know which ones work and don't work for you. Here are a couple of things you can do to clear your mind:
Meditating is a great way to help clear the mind. The first tip I created is a simple into to meditating, so if you would like to try it, check it out! I meditate for about ten minutes every day, whether in the morning or right before bed, and it always helps to clear my mind.
Do some yoga! This helps some people more than others. Yoga really helped me relax while, at the same time, stretching my muscles and giving me a good work out. I simply look up yoga videos on Youtube, I try a different one every time! It can be difficult at first, but you'll be glad you tried it :)
Do something you love to do that DOESN'T involve technology. Every now and then, I'll put down my phone, make a cup of tea, and read a book on my porch. It's INCREDIBLY relaxing, and it's also made me realize how truly attached to my phone I was.
Listen to some relaxing music! Music has an amazing effect on our brains. Our mood adapts to whatever we're listening to, whether it's Last Resort by Papa Roach or Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Try listening to something calm and beautiful because your mood will follow the same path..
