Giving Up The Bottle For Good
Family & Kids
Trying to take your babies bottle away is always a task! But I done this for both of my children and it worked great! It's always good to start by switching you baby from formula to fresh milk.
I found it best to gradually add fresh milk to formula making it half formula half milk for about 2 weeks letting their body adjust to the change.
Once you get down to your last bit of formula add more milk than formula until all formula is gone.
Next, continue using the bottle with fresh milk for about a week making sure your baby is adjusted to the new milk.
Once you feel your child is ready, this tip is most important during their bed time bottle. switch to a completely different bottle in shape and size. Most children will not take the new bottle because of the change.
If your child takes the new bottle with no hesitation move to a plastic nippled sippy cup. Once you start using the sippy cup, the big transformation should help ease your child from the bottle, and get rid of that bottle for good!!
