Yogurt can be an excellent home treatment for dandruff. It is thick and moisturizing, so it can fully moisturize your scalp and soak up dandruff flakes. Use vanilla or unflavored yogurt for best results.
1.Wash and rinse your hair as normal.
Scoop 1/2 cup to 1 cup of yogurt; the amount you use depends on your hair length and thickness.
Vigorously massage the plain yogurt into your scalp, working it down to the ends of your hair.
Stand out of the shower stream for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
Rinse the yogurt out with cool water.
Herb and Vinegar Rinse
1.Boil 1 cup of water. Steep fresh thyme or sage in the water.
Strain out the herb and let the water cool. Mix the herb infusion with 2 tablespoons of vinegar.
Shampoo and rinse your hair, using about 1/2 of your normal amount of shampoo.
Pour the vinegar and herb infusion mixture over your head. Use this as your final rinse; do not rinse the vinegar off.
Repeat 1 time every 2 weeks
Olive oil is one of our favorite hair and scalp treatments; it is naturally clarifying, moisturizing, and packed full of antioxidants for a healthy scalp
1.Warm 1/2 cup to 1 cup of olive oil until it reaches about 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
Before bed, massage the warm olive oil into your scalp using slow circular motions. Make sure to cover your entire scalp.
You may want to cover your hair with a towel or hair cap overnight to keep the oil from getting on your pillowcase.
In the morning, shampoo and rinse your hair
Lemon juice is a natural astringent, so it can break through product and oil buildup. Coconut oil is moisturizing, so it can keep your scalp from producing excess oil and causing more dandruff.
1.In a bowl or in a blender, mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice with 5 tablespoons of coconut oil. Blend until smooth.
Get your hair damp in the shower. Massage the mixture into your entire scalp.
Let the mixture stay in your hair for 20 to 30 minutes.
Wash with a mild shampoo and rinse.
