Furry Nails Are Officially The Craziest Beauty Trend Right Now
Beauty trends come and go, with most not sticking around for longer than you can say ‘glitter beard’. While it’s certainly interesting, I have a feeling that the latest nail-based craze – furry nails – is not going to stick around for long.
Models at the Libertine Fall/Winter 2016 show were sent down the runway with oddly furry hands, which were the creation of Jan Arnold, style director and co-founder of CND nail polish.
The team glued brown and white faux fur strips on top of polished nails with a coat of high-gloss paint.
This trend clearly isn’t the most practical of crazes. Most importantly, what happens when you have a shower? Will we all soon be buying little mini hairdryers to give our manicures the perfect quiff?
If you want a more wearable version of the look, MUA are offering a fluffy nail product called Fluff and Cluddles, which you pour onto wet nails for a furry effect. Perfect for when you want your nails to look like a luxurious purple astroturf.
And if you want to attempt something even more out there, I’d say these furry Troll Doll nails are pretty much the best thing I’ve ever seen:
So, Troll Dolls aside, I think the plight of the furry nails is set to go the way of the worst trends. Apart from anything else, picking the tea bag out with your fingers would result in a wet, fluffy mess, and I’m not down with that.
So, what do you think about furry nails? Is it a trend that you look forward to rocking or something that you will probably pass on?
