French Toast Bread Pudding

  • Ingredients: 

    2 CUPS Milk 

    1/4 CUP Butter

    2 Eggs, slightly beaten 

    1/2 CUP Sugar 

    1 tsp Vanilla extract

    1/4 tsp Salt 

    7 CUPS soft bread cubes (about 8 slices bread) 

        Topping:

        1/2 CUP Flour 

        1/2 CUP Brown sugar 

        1 tsp Cinnamon 

        1/2 CUP Cold butter, cut into piece


  • Directions:

    1. Heat oven to 350ºF

    2. In 2-quart saucepan, heat milk and butter over medium heat until butter is melted and milk is hot

    3. In large bowl, mix eggs, sugar and salt. Stir in bread cubes

    4. Stir in milk mixture

    5. Pour into 9×13 greased pan.

    Topping:

    1. Add in all ingredients in a large bowl, stir, then poor on top of bread pudding

    2. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes
