Keeping yourself from sliding backwards once youve started relapsing, whether its in your eating disorder, substance abuse, or self harm, can be really tough. here are some tips ive found to be useful.
1. TELL SOMEONE! Seriously guys, secrets have power. So whether its a trusted friend, family member, support group, or your therapist/doctor/psychiatrist/dietician, let someone know youre struggling and then let them support you.
2. Get accountable. Now I know accountability sucks, but it is vital in recovery. So set up some kind of accountability system until you can get back on track.
3. Get your feelings out. If you blog or vlog, make a couple posts about how you feel. Be honest. (check out my recovery blog at outoftherabbithole33.blogspot.com) If you like music, make music. If you like art, draw your feelings out. Do what works for you.
