Facial Skin Problems? This Is What I Did To Clear Up My Skin! 👍 ~Updated~ by Facial Skin Problems? This Is What I Did To Clear Up My Skin! 👍 ~Updated~Remove makeup! Never let makeup sit overnight. This will clog pores and cause you to breakout! Find a makeup remover that works for you. I personally alternate between wipes and a mix of olive oil+waterDaily facial cleanser. Gentle to the skin for daily use but powerful enough to cleanse your pores. Cleanse twice a day. Once at night, once when you wake up.Exfoliate! This step helps to clean skin, as well as clear away dead skin cells that have built up. I recommend Neutrogena as they are cheap but works well. You should exfoliate 3-4 days/week for oily skin. Less for sensitive skin.Moisturizer. Use it. Will help with inflammation(possible caused by dryness) Oily skin types should opt for gel based moisturizers and dry-normal skin should look for more creamy based ones. Try to look for ones for your skin type. There really is a difference!Deep cleaning. Do this once a week or once every two weeks. Doing it too often will strip your skin of essential oils which will further irritate and cause your skin to be oily. I use either a clay mask or mud mask. For oily skin. Consider using tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is naturally antibacterial. This will help keep the bacteria causing acne and inflammation away! Plus the ones from The Body Shop are made community fair trade, no animal testing and 100% vegan.Sensitive skin? Try aloe Vera skin products. Aloe Vera is good for sensitive skin as it is very gentle.Use sunscreen to protect your skin! If you don't like the feel of sunscreen, at least go for products that contain spf 15+ in your foundation or day moisturizer. When buying facial sunscreen, it is also important to find ones specific for your skin type.Consider going on the pill. After going on the pill(strictly to control my acne) I found my skin cleared up and has stayed clear! I still get minor pimples but nothing crazy like I used to have. Make sure to tell your doctor you want them for acne. It makes a difference!Clean your pillow case. Bacteria and other bad things can grow and multiply on the surface of your pillow case. So do your best to clean your pillow case at least every other week.In the winter, make sure you wash your hat often, as dirt, debris and oil can get trapped. Give your phone and headphone/cord a good wipe down with an antibacterial wipe every week. Again this is something you use often and can rub against your face so it's important to clean it on a daily basis. Dirty makeup brushes will clog pores and irritate your skin. Be sure to spritz them with a brush cleaner daily and do a deep cleansing with them every week or so. Any liquid brushes will need to be cleaned more often than powder.I hope these tips will help you! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask :) Sorry if it seems like I favoured Neutrogena and the Body Shop :P they just have products that work for me! I used to have oily, acne prone skin with lots of inflammation. Now that I've figured out what works for me, my skin only has a zit or two before my period. Much more manageable than before!
