We have collected the most helpful tips to help guide you through your skincare journey, and the best ways to ensure progress with your medication. Be sure to follow them down to a T and you will achieve maximum results!
Do: Listen to your doctor’s instructions
At the beginning of your treatment period, your doctor should provide instructions on how to use the medication. Follow those instructions well, as compliance is key to success! You will also have access to message your doctor with any medical questions during your 60-Day Consultation Period.
Don’t: Overuse your treatment
Overusing the treatment is a common mistake among patients. Please be sure to use the treatment as directed. If you have questions regarding your medication, refer to the eNurse check-up software as it will help guide your treatment.
Do: Use moisturizer
We can’t stress enough the importance of using moisturizer! Your skin will benefit from adding a simple moisturizer, as it will replenish and protect the skin, and help avoid potential side effects. We recommend applying it 5 minutes after applying your FaceRx, and throughout the day as needed.
Don’t: Be inconsistent
Being inconsistent is also a common mistake. We suggest trying to stick to a routine to get the best results!
Do: Use sunscreen
You must, must, MUST use sunscreen. FaceRx treatments can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so applying mineral-based sunscreen with SPF 30+ is best to provide optimal protection. Our dermatologists recommend these brands: EltaMD, Aveeno, Supergoop, and CeraVe.
Do: Take skip days
We know, you’re thinking “Isn’t taking a skip day being inconsistent?” No. When we say a take skip day, we mean to remember to take breaks now and then to avoid side effects or plateauing. Skip days can consist of: stopping for a few days or switching to every other day.
Do: Follow eNurse
eNurse is a check-up software in the Musely app designed to guide you throughout treatment and advise on side effects tailored to your specific treatment. Throughout check-ups, you will be asked a series of questions regarding your current treatment and skin conditions. eNurse will provide recommendations regarding the answers given. We recommend turning on notifications for the Musely app so you do not miss a check-up, as you will not be able to go back and complete it!
