  • Line up your papers like the picture above. You can cut your papers different sizes, like we did! Make sure the papers overlap!

  • Dot holes all over the papers about an inch apart. This is where you'll be punching holes. Make sure you put dots on the top corners.

  • Once you've cut out all of the holes, your artwork should look like this. This process takes a while, so we recommend watching a movie or listening to music for background noise. Remember, this part takes focus.

  • Cut some ribbon long enough so you would be able to hang it up once you've tied it to the corner holes.

  • Carefully tie the ribbon to the holes. If the ribbon is too long, you can tie it at the top.

  • Squeeze the paint of your choice (we mixed purple and black for ours) onto a paper plate. Careful, this part gets messy! Dip your toothbrush into the paint, and using your thumb, spray paint all over the paper. You can also use a paintbrush and make bigger dots if you want.

  • If you're too excited to get onto the next part to let it dry, like we were, you can use a piece of blank paper and carefully dab it over the paint splatters. Careful not to smear!

  • Draw your tree in pencil, and trace over it in brown sharpie.

  • Once you're done coloring in your tree, squeeze some pink paint onto a paper plate and dip your soda bottle into it.

  • With caution, place the soda bottle onto the branches. Hold it there for a few seconds and lift.

  • Dump some glitter onto the flowers while the paint is still wet.

  • Shake the glitter into a big bowl. Using a duster, dust the rest of the glitter into the bowl. Using a funnel, you can get the excess glitter back into the container.
