Easily Remove Sticker Residue! No Soaking! No Chemicals!

  • (This works on glass, plastic, ceramic, just about any non-porous surface; I do not recommended using this on fabric, carpet, or similar)
After peeling off the 'paper' layer from your surface (ie: jar label, price sticker etc) usually there is almost always either some white now 'fuzzy' paper remnants accompanied by the stickers gluey residue.
Here's an easy, cheap foolproof way to remove those pesky 'fuzzy' paper pieces, and or the sticky glue residue left behind! The best part is...you probably already have the ingredients in your kitchen!!

  • In a separate dish (any kind will do) mix equal parts of:
Baking Soda (must be baking SODA, not baking powder!) and vegetable oil
Mix together to form a paste
Apply the paste generously on the 'fuzzy' paper and or sticker residue to be removed. (You can apply this paste with whatever you are comfortable with; your fingers, an old paint brush, a sponge, etc)
Leave the paste on for about 15-20 minutes (adjust time as needed based on a smaller / larger area)

  • After 15-20 minutes, remove the paste using a non-abrasive 'scrubber ' (I use Dobie pads, but any kind of mild scrubbie, or even an old toothbrush will work just fine)
The 'fuzzy' paper, and sticky residue will be gone! No more residue, no smudges from the leftover glue, no scratches nothing!
Rinse (and wash if appropriate ) your now sticky free item! (No, the oil will not leave a greasy residue either!)

  • Now you can get creative (tons of great ideas on trusper ;) ) and reuse your item any way you wish!!
