  • I wanted to share a few tips and tricks for studying that help me, and hopefully will help you as well!

  • Listen Actively

While in class, be sure to listen well to what your teacher/professor is teaching. Write in your own words, and then connect to what you already know. Think of examples, this will help you remember information easily.

  • Ask Questions

If something doesn't make sense to you, ask for your teacher to make it more clear. If you're nervous to ask during class, write down your question during class and ask once class has ended.

  • Review Your Notes

After class if you have free time, review your notes and make sure you have a good understanding. Quiz yourself on what you've written down. This will help you when it comes time to actually studying before the exam. You will already had a good recollection of what you're studying and answers will come to you easier.

  • Use notecards

These are very helpful! Writing a term on one side, and definition on the other will be a good way of memorizing the terms definition and will leave you well prepared for the exam!

  • Lastly, study a little every weekend

Studying a little every weekend instead of studying EVERYTHING before the day of the exam will keep your brain refreshed without having to cram everything in at once.
