First put 5 cups of milk in the microwave till it reaches just below 200°. make sure the milk doesnt exceed a boiling point, once you see it start to boil take it out. Then let stand till the milk reaches 110° or till it reaches room temperature.
After the milk settles to room temperature add 1 cup of plain yogurt (for a starter) and mix till its thinned out.
Once its mixed, wrap a towel around the mixture and let it sit for 8 to 16 hours depending on how you like the texture.
Once finished add a handful of any toppings and enjoy
Tips: If you dont have a thermometer when heating themilk it takes about 5 minutes for 5 cups of milk to be heated to the right temperature. when checking if its cooled you can touch the bowl if the milk feels warm and you can keep your hand on it without it burning you then its perfect. After you make your first batch you can use your homemade yogurt to make more instead of buying a starter.
