  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c unsalted butter, softened
1 c loosely packed brown sugar
1/4 c granulated sugar
8 oz cream cheese, cold & cut into cubes
1 large egg yolk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 c milk chocolate chips

    1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 c unsalted butter, softened
    1 c loosely packed brown sugar
    1/4 c granulated sugar
    8 oz cream cheese, cold & cut into cubes
    1 large egg yolk
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    1 c milk chocolate chips
  • In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat together butter and sugar until fluffy, Add in the cream cheese and beat until combined, then beat in the egg yolk & vanilla extract. With the mixer on low speed, beat in the dry ingredients until combined. Use a spoon to stir in the chocolate chips

  • Refrigerate the dough for 10-15 mins, just until it's slightly less sticky & easier to roll into balls. Roll into golf-ball sized balls & place about 2 in apart on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 mins, or until the cookies are set. You will know they're ready when they form little cracks
