  • I did these with a basic vanilla cake. Three layer 9" bottom and four layer 6" on top.

  • I cut out the fondant using a picture printed off the internet and then cut out of wax paper. I cut extra head, leg, and arm to make it 3D. I used water to make them stick together.

  • Then I started painting using food coloring and vodka (dont worry the vodka completely evaporates leaving no alcohol behind). The vodka evaporates faster and leaves no taste compared to using lemon extract or water. I used royal icing for the claws and teeth then painted them black.

  • Iced the cake with chocolate frosting then stuck the dinosaurs to it. I used a couple toothpicks to keep them from sliding (make sure to remove the tooth picks before serving! ) layed the bones I made on the cake to read happy birthday jack. Put my columns in the bottom cake.

  • the 4 layer cake I put in the freezer wrapped for an hour then pulled it out and cut out chunks to make it into a mountain shape. covered it in chocolate icing and decorated with red icing for lava.

  • once you place the small cake on top of the columns ice around the bottom to cover the card board the cake it on and your done.
