  • Need a nail, hammer, and an empty tin can that you like (I choose this Blue Diamond Almonds tin because of the brassy color and size)

  • Draw the design that you want with a marker in the form of dots. The dots will become each nail hole (shown in the photo). Tip: don't make too many dots or make your design too extravagant. Keep it simple.

  • Hammer all the nails dots through. Your tin will most likely become dented. No worries, it adds to the design of it. And you can hammer out the tin at your design by hammering out from the inside. I did an anchor to go with my living room design.

  • Add a tea light and light it. Tip: push candle to the back of tin away from your design. The light shines through prettier this way.

  • Finished product. Looks lovely at night!!! You can also distress the rest of the tin if you prefer. Just give it a few random hammer strikes inside and outside. This looks great paired with other DIY bottles and/or tins.
