  • DIY Superhero comic tennis shoes

    Items need

    Plastic plates
    Plastic bags
    tennis shoes (new or used)
Mod podge (yellow and red bottle)
    Comic books

  • Cut out your comic strips out ( squares, rectangle, and triangle)

Try not to cut out Random ones.
Try to have a pattern and map out how you want it to look and some of the comic strips are going to overlap that's okay.
Try to put the ones u less like on the first layer as a background and put the ones that you really like on top.

Took me about 2 hours alone to cut all the comic strips out that I was gonna use.

  • Take off the shoe laces off the shoes
And stuff each shoe with plastic bags

I use the yellow mud podge first to glue the comic strips on the shoe

Start by pouring little by little the yellow mud podge on the plastic plate and use your brush to apply the mud podge on the tennis shoe and apply on the back of the comic strip mud podge and stick it to the shoe and yes it's gonna get alittle messy

It's okay to apply mud podge over the comic strip but try to apply a light coating to it so it won't turn white.

    Process took 2 hrs

i.e. The mod podge will make the outside of your shoe hard!

  • Next when you are done covering your tennis shoe to your liking with the comic strips apply two coats of the yellow mud podge lightly to make the corners of the strip not be able to stick out and it make it last longer!

Let it dry each time at least 2 hours before applying the next coat

And after that to Seal the deal I apply 1-2 coating of the red mud podge to seal the comic strip and make my shoes shiny!!

Let it dry for 2 more hours and done!!

    Have fun!
