  • Choose a body part where you want the bruise. I just used my hand as an example.

  • Get a palate of eyeshadows with Browns, blues, greens, purples, etc that you associate with bruises.

  • Start with a pale blue to create a sort of outline for the bruise.

  • Go to a darker colour. I chose brown.

  • After this go for a blue to bring out colours in the bruise, making it look more realistic.

  • Then go for a purple to bring out even more colour. I only had this purple but lighter ones would be better.

  • Then go for a green to lighten the bruise. If you had a yellow that would stand out then use that too :)

  • After that just keep mixing together the colours until you find a good balance between them.

  • The best colours to use would be large amounts of greens and yellows, purples over the top and a small amount of blue with the purple. As I didn't have very good greens and yellows my bruise did not turn out as good.
