Chocolate Protein Popped Amaranth Cereal Recipe! #tipit

4 Tbsp. amaranth
1/2 scoop Sunwarrior Warrior Blend in Chocolate (or your protein of choice)
1/2 banana, sliced
3-4 strawberries, diced
1 Tbsp. crushed walnuts
Almond milk to taste
stevia - Optional if you like a sweeter cereal
Heat up a large non stick pot over medium high heat. (Make sure you have the lid available otherwise your amaranth will pop all over the place) Heat the pan until pretty hot. Working in batches 1 Tbsp. at a time, pour in your amaranth and cover with lid. Wait about 5 seconds, or until you hear the first pop then lift pan from heat and shake vigorously. Place back on heat, wait a few more seconds and shake pan again. You want to make sure they dont burn so keep an eye on them. They will only take about 10-15 seconds to pop up.
Once done, transfer to bowl and repeat with a second batch of amaranth. Repeat for all 4 Tbsp.
Pour popped amaranth in bowl and mix in protein power.
Add diced fruit and cover with almond milk.
Dont wait until all the amaranth seeds are done popping. They will start to burn by then. Once the popping slows down pour them out.
Work in batches so that the seeds can spread out.
Make sure to let the pan heat back up in between batches. Lifting it off the heat to shake will cool the pan down some. So place back on the burner and let the pan sit for a few minutes in between batches.
