Chick-fil-a Style Chicken Salad
Food & Drink
I used to work at chick-fil-a && while I was there I learned how to make a good bit of their food. Now I can't give you the exact recipe , but I can give you something that tastes JUST LIKE IT!! so if you love chick-fil-a's famous chicken salad, you be sure to love this recipe!!!
What You'll Need :
-2 Cups of chicken
(boiled, baked, grilled, or fried) I prefer fried &/or grilled
-1 Hard Boiled Egg
-1/4 Teaspoon of Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Sugar
- 1/4 Teaspoon of Fresh Ground Pepper
-1/3 Cup of Sweet Pickle Relish
-2/3 Cup of Mayonnaise
First you'll want to finely chop your chicken of choice into the consistency above. You can use a blender if you'd like.
Note: If frying your chicken, make sure you bread it with bread crumbs or flour.
Also, peanut oil would be the most ideal choice for frying . It tastes a lot better!
Next you want to boil an egg for about 5 minutes (or until done) and chop it finely as well.
Next you want to combine your finely chopped chicken && boiled egg into a bowl with a lid.
Sprinkle evenly over the top your salt, sugar, && fresh ground pepper .
Place the lid over the bowl and shake until evenly coated with the designated amount of seasoning .
Remove your lid.
Add your mayonnaise and your sweet pickle relish to your chicken && egg mixture .
Stir thoroughly until all the ingredients are combined well.
Now refrigerate at least 2 hours or until cold.
I usually do mine over night, but some don't like to wait.
Tip: Feel free to toast a couple slices of bread && add your salad inbetween for a wonderful chicken salad sandwhich!
