Burlesque Themes

  • I had to do a design mannequin for school....

    I chose a Burlesque Theme....

    It was actually very easy....

  • First I used a reddish / purple and blk dye....

I sectioned a oval part on the left side about and inch up from ear to center of head @ top.....

The oval section was dyed red/purple and the rest was dyed blk....

Hair was already cut in a bob.....

  • After coloring hair.....

I used curvature rollers and did a half circle on front using all colored hair and some blk.

The rollers were rolled upwards instead of under as usual technique.

The back was blow dried with small roller brush to give it body and under beveled effect.

After hair was dry the rollers are removed and style with minimal comb out.

Some hair was taken into back to add some color and remove distinct partings.

  • The make up was mainly paint and nail polish....

    Because it a mannequin....

But jewels and glitter are good for Burlesque themes

Only if I could of done an outfit also ;)
