Broiled Grapefruit

  • For a yummy and (relatively healthy) treat, halve a grapefruit and run a knife between the outer skin and fruit, as well as between the segments, to free up the pieces of fruit while leaving them in place within the peel.

    Sprinkle the cut side with brown sugar spiked with some ground cardamom to taste. Broil cut side up for 6-10 minutes until the sugar has caramelized.

    Enjoy the grapefruit while still warm, with a spoon so you can slurp up the sweet juices!
