Best Gluten-free Naan

  • So my family is currently eating gluten free and it has been really hard.
    I absolutely love indian food but it's just not the same without naan.
    With no other choice, I found a recipe for gluten free naan that would satisfy my hunger!

  • You'll need
    3/4 cup gluten free flour (I use Pamela's)
    1/4 cup tapioca starch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. yeast
    1 tbsp. sugar
    1/4 cup lukewarm water (to bloom yeast)
    3/4 cup coconut milk

  • Add yeast and sugar to water and stir. Let it bloom for 5 minutes.

    While you wait, mix the tapioca starch and gluten free flour together, then add salt.

    After the 5 minutes, add bloomed yeast to the dry ingredients. Stir in coconut milk.

    *This will not be a dough at the end. It will be a batter*

  • Let it sit for an hour.

    Turn pan up to medium heat and butter it.

    Scoop batter onto pan. Gently spread it out until it is as thin as you want.

    Wait for bubbles to form then flip it

  • The texture of this naan is a little different than regular naan. That happens in gluten free recipes. It's still delicious.
