Best Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake With Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Buttercream Frosting!

  • Ingredients: 

    -Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge cake mix
    -3 eggs
    -1/3 cup oil
    -1 cup water

    Cookie Dough Buttercream Frosting:
    -3 sticks softened butter
    -3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
    -3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    -1/2 tsp. salt
    -2 tbsp. milk
    -1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • Directions: 

    Start by mixing the cake mix and ingredients together. Place in a 350 degree preheated oven. 

    To make the frosting, (make while cake is baking) combine the butter and brown sugar in a mixing bowl and cream on medium-high speed until light and fluffy.  Beat in the powdered sugar until smooth.  Beat in the salt, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and combined.

  • Place cake and frosting in fridge for at least an hour and a half before frosting so cake can cool and frosting can set. 

    Frost inner layer and add chocolate chips to your liking. Frost the rest of the cake and sprinkle a hand full more of chocolate chips or just to your liking.
