  • Ingredients
    - 6 eggs
    -1 cup sugar
    - 2 tsp if vanilla extract
    - 1 can condensed milk
    - 1 can evaporated milk
    - 8oz. Cream cheese{=1 bar}


    Caramel
    - 2 cups sugar
    - 1 tbsp. butter
    - 3 tbsp. water

  • Instructions

    Flan: preheat oven to 425. In blender or large mixing bowl( I like blender, faster and easier) put in the listed ingredients. Mix for a good 3-4 mins to breakdown everything get a good even blend. Let that sit and proceed to part2: caramel...

  • Caramel: find a medium saucepot. (I removed handles off an old pot). Put stovetop on medium to high heat, let it warm up, throw sugar, water and butter in. Continue mixing until sugar starts to dissolve. Lower heat to no medium and keep stirring until light golden brown and liquidly.

  • (Caramel continued)

    Set aside and give it about 15 mins to harden. Go back to the blender do a quick blend and pour mixture into pot with the hardened caramel on the bottom. Ok now foil the top.

  • Flan cooks a little bit different. In Spanish is what we call baño María. Pretty much is you grab a roasting basin(your turkey cooker) fill a little less than half way with water. Grab your foiled pot if flan and place In center. Now set it in your oven and let cook for 1 hour and 30 mins.

  • Pull out if oven and unfoil let steam out. Run a spatula/butter knife around the edge of the pan to loosen all edges. Foil back and refrigerate over night.
    Next day (5-6hrs) to cool. Find platter with raised edge to set it in. Place it over the rim of your pan and flip your flan in. ENJOY. (:
