  • So you wanna become gothic? Simple really :) with a bit of thread, and a dash of black, I'll help transform you into a full blooded creature of the night :D

  • Halloween decor is a best bet. This is Steve, my skull that resides in my room. I took a simple Halloween decoration and turned him into a change/candle holder. Just by cutting out a little stuffing :)

  • Always go into popular stores colourblind; Cause let's be honest, to be gothic, you gotta be on a budget. Pale colours of laced tops can always be dyed, and tearing holes in black tights is easy. Always stick to a cheaper method and spare your wallet :)

  • Making art is also another way to beautifully dampen a room. I did this with cardboard, white paint, ribbon, and jack O lantern tattoos.(I never knew those were a thing until I looked in clearance after Halloween) I painted the cardboard white and applied the fake tattoos on with a rag.

  • Adding ribbon on later with my hot glue gun.

  • Lastly, look at textiles. They're a must. Whether you decide to make pockets or add a border to a pillow, a good textile that expresses you adds more than just an accent. :)
