Basic Simple Frijoles ( Refried Beans)

  • Ingredients:

    12 oz can of pinto beans
    Oil (vegetable or canola)

    Pour about a 1/2 cup of oil in a sauce pan or a pan of that sort. Let the oil get very hot! When you are sure it's HOT! Pour the can of beans in. Be careful the oil will pop! So use the a lid to shield yourself. If you do this often you'll get used to the burn. Let them fry for a little bit. Then mash with a masher until they are the consistency that you like. If you like it more soupy u can add a little bit of water. Salt to taste and that's it. Master this step then you can get more complex. Adding chorizo is delicioso!
