Bad Hair Habits You Need To Break ✌️
Sleeping with your hair tied in a pony tail or elastic is bad! As you move in your sleep, it pulls on your hair and eventually breaks, and that leads to frizz.
Brushing your hair like the woman on the picture. Brush your hair from the ends, and gradually to the top, and gently. This way you won't rip out maturing hair strands. You'll see less hair on your comb, and more on your head, trust me ;)
Being harsh with your wet hair. Don't put a towel turban over it; wet hair is very easy to break, damage, or rip out when wet versus dry. By ringing it out and letting it air dry, you'll see less frizz and baby hairs.
Washing your hair everyday! This strips your hair of natural oils, so your scalp tries to get it back by producing extra, making your hair greasy. Get into the habit of washing it every other day, and your scalp will get used to it and stop overproducing :)
Ring your hair out after shampooing, THEN add conditioner. The water dilutes the conditioner if your hair is soaking wet.
Showering with hot water. This is also bad for your skin. It makes your hair prone to break off as the strands are so dehydrated from your hot showers. This is a hair killer, so shower with cool water or Luke warm water.
Tight hair styles. Again this creates A LOT of tension on the hair follicles, leading to breakage. Also pulling out the elastic all at once is horrible, always unwrap it.
Trim your ends. If you don't trim off your split ends, it will rip upwards. Shampoo only your scalp, condition only your ends.
