  • MAKE A WIRE WRAP LOOP
Using your round nose pliers, hold the wire about 1″ from the end and wrap the wire around the plier tips, to form a loop.

  • Using your left hand, grasp the loop firmly with your needle nose pliers.
Using your right hand and the round nose pliers, begin to wrap the shorter end of the wire around the longer length of wire.

  • Wrap at least one full round before stopping.

  • Using your side cutters, trim off the excess short end of the wire near the wire wrap.
Use your needle nose pliers to pinch the end of the wire tight against to the wrap so it doesn’t poke out.

  • Slide your beads onto the headpin, leaving about 1″ of wire exposed on the opposite end.

  • With your hands or the needle nose pliers, bend the wire around the tip of the round nose pliers.

  • Use your needle nose pliers to pinch the end of the wire tight against to the wrap so it doesn’t stick out.

  • ✨ADDING THE LEATHER✨
Cut a piece of leather about 5 or 6″ long.
Run the leather through your fingers a couple of times to soften it up and make it easier to fold.
Fold in half.
Insert the folded portion into the wire wrap loop and pull about 1″ of the leather loop through the end.

  • ATTACHING THE CLASP
Lay both ends of the leather in the end tab connector.  (For extra strength, you can add a dab of E6000 to the leather ends at this step.)
With your needle nose pliers, pinch together the sides of the tab connector – but do not let the ends meet.

  • Holding your needle nose pliers perpendicular to the tab connector, pinch down on the tab connector carefully and the sides of the connectors will fold down over the leather.

  • Open a jump ring, and slide the tab connector and magnetic clasp into the jump ring.
Close the jump ring and repeat for the other end.
