1/4 pound butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup mashed very ripe banana 1/2 cup sour cream 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 325. Grease a 9x5x3 pan. You can really use any size pan you want, you'll just have to adjust the baking time accordingly.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well.
Combine all dry ingredients and add to butter mixture.
Add bananas, sour cream and vanilla and mix through. Mix in chocolate chips.
Bake for 1 hour.
** I always double the amount of chocolate chips in most recipes that I get, so this has the amount already doubled. If its too much chocolate for you, feel free to cut back to 1 cup (or anywhere in between).
