  • The person on the top is called the flyer. In acro yoga you have to trust your partner if you don't then there will be hesitation and you don't want that when both of you could get hurt.

  • When doing tricks you should always have a spotter or 2. Spotters are just people that will stand next to the trick in case of emergency.

  • A spotter helps beginners with tricks and protects both of them. For example if the top girl started tilting the spotter would push her slightly back into positing or if the bottom girl was losing her strength the spotter would help create the easiest way to safely get the top girl Down

  • This is an example of why you need two spotters. If the flyer starts to fall the spotter should wrap there arms around the flyers torso and pull away from the base to prevent injury. If there are not two spotters in position the flyer or the base could be seriously injured.

  • If you were in a situation with no spotter here's what to do. If the flyer loses balance and starts to fall the base should NOT TRY AND CATCH THEM that will cause both of you to get hurt. The flyer should tuck and roll to either side and the base should cover there face block any possible injury.
